Now may be the time for you to update your existing exterior lighting to LED. Reduce energy and maintenance costs, get light where you need it, and take advantage of possible utility company rebates with new LED fixtures. Let our team of lighting designers come up with an LED lighting solution for your facility.
The LED Lighting Difference
In the aerial image below you can see the true effectiveness of LED lighting and why we’re excited about customers switching to LED lighting. We installed 133 watt LED fixtures and were certainly not disappointed by both the light output and significant energy savings compared to high pressure sodium fixtures.
The LED fixtures below were replacing mercury vapor fixtures (910 watts per pole) which had poor ground coverage. Much of the light from these fixtures was wasted sent into the sky, instead of focused on the ground where the light is needed.
The LED fixtures also give off a much cooler temperature (white) light which is often preferred to high pressure sodium which emits a warmer (yellow) light.
The images below show a before and after ground perspective of how indirect lighting wastes energy and money by having light where you don’t want it. The second image shows the new LED lights we installed throwing light directly onto the driveway instead of also sending light into the sky.
Before: 910W consumed per pole (2 400W Mercury Vapor lamps)
After: 133W consumed per pole
LED for many Applications
The LED market is rapidly expanding and new LED fixtures are being created to suit numerous lighting applications. LED lighting is ideal for dusk to dawn exterior lighting, but there are also many indoor applications including LED under cabinet lighting.
Canopy lighting is another application where LED lighting really shines. The long night hours of fuel centers, like below, increase the energy savings and quicken the payback of the LED fixtures. The LED lights also provide excellent lighting under the canopy as customers fuel their cars through the night.
